Mike Maples

Mike Maples, M.D.

Dr. Maples received his M. D. and B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology at the School of Medicine at the University of Washington.  He completed his post graduate training as a resident in Family Medicine in University of Washington affiliated hospitals. 

Dr. Maples served as Director of the development of the Family Medicine Residency program in Yakima, Washington until 2003.  He then formed a new non-profit corporation to purchase the assets of Central Washington Family Medicine and reorganize to be designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center, namely, Community Health of Central Washington and is currently serving as its CEO.

Dr. Maples professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians, Washington State Medical Association, Yakima County Medical Society, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, Assoc. of Family Practice Residency Directors, Board of Directors, Yakima Rotary Club, Board of Directors,, United Way of Yakima County.

Dr. Maples is married to Marjorie Lynn Henderson, M.D.  They have two boys, Mark Thomas and Wesley Michael.
