Kathaleen Briggs EarlyKathaleen Briggs Early, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Nutrition


Dr. Early serves as Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Nutrition for PNWU.  She earned her PhD in Nutrition from Washington State University in 2007.  She has previous teaching experience with Washington State University and the University of Idaho, and was a Ronald E. McNair Scholar as an undergraduate at Central Washington University.  Dr. Early brings practical understanding with a real world approach to the study of biochemistry, emphasizing the role of nutrition and metabolism in healthy individuals and a variety of disease states.  Dr. Early also represents PNWU in a clinical role with Central Washington Endocrine Center as a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator and Insulin Pump Trainer.  Her research interests focus on public health issues facing the underserved populations of our region.
