Android:

  1. From the Applications menu, select Email.
  2. Type your full email address, for example tony@pnwu.org, and your password.
  3. If you would like this to be your default email account on your mobile phone, check the box marked Send email from this account by default.
  4. Select Next.
  5. Select Exchange account.
  6. Enter the following account information and select Next.
    1. Username: use your full email address, for example; jdoe@pnwu.org
    2. Password: use the password that you use to access your account.
    3. Exchange Server: pod51011.outlook.com
  7. As soon as your phone verifies the server settings, the options you can set up from the Account Options screen will include the following:
    1. Email checking frequency The default value is Automatic (push). When you select this option, email messages will be sent to your phone as they arrive. We recommend only selecting this option if you have an unlimited data plan.
    2. Amount to synchronize This is the amount of mail you want to keep on your mobile phone. You can choose from several length options, including One day, Three days, and One week.
    3. Notify me when email arrives If you select this option, your mobile phone will notify you when you receive a new email message.
    4. Sync contacts from this account If you select this option, your contacts will be synchronized between your phone and your account.
  8. Select Next and then enter a name for this account and the name you want displayed when you send email to others.
  9. Select Done to complete the email setup and start using your account.

IPHONE and IPAD:

  1. If this is the first e-mail account on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
  2. Tap Microsoft Exchange.
  3. Tap in the E-mail box and enter your full e-mail address (for example, tony@pnwu.org).
  4. Tap in the Username box and enter your full e-mail address again.
  5. Tap in the Password box and enter your password.
  6. Optionally, tap in the Description box and enter a short description for the account.
  7. Tap Next on the upper right corner of the screen.
  8. Tap in the Server box and enter the server name: m.outlook.com
  9. Tap Next.
  10. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize. By default, Mail, Calendar, and Contacts are all turned on. To turn off synchronization for a type of information, tap and slide the switch to OFF.
  11. Tap Save.
  12. If you're prompted to create a new passcode, tap Continue and enter a numeric passcode. You'll need to enter the passcode twice.

Blackberry IMAP or POP:

  1. From the BlackBerry home screen, click BlackBerry Setup > Set up Internet E-mail > Add An Email Account.
  2. Type your e-mail address and password, and then click Next.
  3. If your BlackBerry device can't determine the appropriate server settings, click I will provide the settings to add this email account.
  4. Scroll down and then click Next.
  5. Select Internet Service Provider Email (POP/IMAP), and then click Next.
  6. Type your user name (for example, tony@pnwu.org).
  7. Scroll down and type the name of your e-mail server. For information about how to find your incoming (POP3 or IMAP4) server name, see How do I find the server settings? later in this topic.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Enter the name of the outgoing server. For information about how to find your outgoing (SMTP) server name, see How do I find the server settings? later in this topic.
  10. Click OK to complete the setup.

How do I find the server settings?

  • Before you set up a POP3 or IMAP4 e-mail program, you need to look up your own POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP server settings.
  • To find your server settings, sign in to your e-mail account using Outlook Web App. After you sign in, click Options > See All Options > Account > My Account > Settings for POP, IMAP, and SMTP access.
  • The POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP server name and other settings you may need to enter are listed on the Protocol Settings page under POP setting or IMAP setting, and SMTP setting.
