PNWU is seeking DO and MD physician volunteers working in medical settings to precept third- and fourth-year students in WA, AK, OR, ID or MT. Most rotations are four weeks in length and include all modalities of care.

Standardized Patients

 PNWU is seeking very part-time persons to serve as standardized patients. Standardized patients perform as patient actors, following a script to assist in training students in a realistic clinical setting.

Preferred candidates will be available during the day up to 16 hours per month, have the ability to read, and possess a spirit of volunteerism.

The OPP Department is seeking DO physicians with the ability to deliver lecture and skills laboratory presentations in osteopathic principles and practice to undergraduate and postgraduate osteopathic medical students and to OPTI consortium.

DO degree from an accredited college of osteopathic medicine


AOA board certified in OMM or special proficiency in OMM or family medicine


Candidates should have an interest in developing research projects in osteopathic principles and practice and be able to precept students and residents in a clinical educational setting.

Family Medicine Clinical Sciences Faculty

The Family Medicine Department is continually searching for passionate DO and MD physicians to assist with hands-on clinical skills training for first- and second-year students.

Physicians must be available on the Yakima campus at least two days per month and be dedicated to educating student doctors.

Continuing Medical Education & Events Coordinator

PNWU is opening a new position to qualified candidates to develop a community continuing medical education program.

 

Full time

Preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and two years related work experience and excellent communication, event planning, continuing medical education experience, excellent computer and organizational skills. Candidates will need to be available by phone most days/hours, and work independently.

Communication Specialist

PNWU is opening a new position to qualified candidates to create and manage a communication and marketing plan for the university.

Preferred candidates will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and four years related work experience and excellent communication, writing, marketing, computer, and organizational skills. Candidates will need to be available by phone most days/hours, and work independently. Experience in higher education a plus.

Basic Science Faculty

The Basic Sciences Department is seeking doctoral candidates with expertise in teaching in the areas of physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, and immunology to teach first- and second-year students.

Full time

Doctoral degree from an accredited college.

Preference will be given to those with postdoctoral teaching experience in a medical school setting.
