Mike Powers serves as chief executive officer for Fairbanks Memorial Hospital/Denali Center. Preceding his current position, Mike served as the hospital's Chief Financial Officer from 1986 to 1995. Mike holds a Master's degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Wisconsin as well as a higher diploma in Anglo-Irish literature from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Mike is a Past President of the Alaska Hospital Association, executive board member of the Interior Neighborhood Health Center, member of the American Hospital Association's Regional Policy Board and former Co-Chair of the United Way of the Tanana Valley fundraising drive. For leisure, Mike coaches youth sports in the Fairbanks area.
