Greg Brandenburg joined the Columbia Basin Health Association (CBHA) in February of 1997 as its Chief Financial Officer and has served as Chief Executive Officer of CBHA since October of 1998. He has grown the organization from a single site to four sites and increased its operating budget from $4 million in 1997 to over $36 million in 2010. Greg’s leadership with CBHA has helped them achieve accolades and awards of excellence throughout his tenure. Examples of significant recognition include being selected as the recipient for the Outstanding Contributions to Rural Health Award by the Washington Rural Health Association in 2003 and in 2008 CBHA was awarded the HIMSS Nicholas E. Davies Community Heath Award of Excellence. In addition, CBHA has been recognized with the 2009 A.T. Still University Fourth Annual Faculty Advance Clinical Quality Award in recognition for teaching quality to the students of the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Recently, CBHA was recognized by the National Association of Community Health Centers, receiving their Migrant Health Center Award. This award recognizes the health center's outstanding achievements and contributions to the migrant health center mission and to community-based health care overall. CBHA and Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic welcomed PNWU to partner on a federally funded workforce development grant. Greg has been married to his wife Addie for 37 years, and they have three grown children. His hobbies include golfing, reading, and traveling.
