Ashwin Shetty, D.O., M.D., Associate Professor of Anatomy
Dr. Shetty is originally from India where he obtained his medical degree (MBBS). On coming to New York in 1991 he was a teaching assistant for anatomy and pathology from 1992 thru 1994 at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYCOM). He went on to become a DO via the accelerated program at the same institute and eventually graduated from an emergency medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, NY. On completion of his residency he stayed on as a teaching attending at the same institute and an assistant clinical professor for NYCOM.
His trip to Yakima and PNWU is motivated towards producing some of the most outstanding medical graduates in the United States and to be part of an emergency medicine residency program at his hospital where he is an attending physician at the present time.
